Identify & Select a Site

We’ll help you identify and choose a site based on market potential. We study your desired location and do site reviews for each of your competitors’ locations and provide you with our findings. Afterward, we create a 30-point grading report outlining each criterion. The report formulates what grade your site deserves. This report is invaluable to choosing the right location and starting your business plan as it also includes break even through year four proformas. Most banks and the SBA require a third party feasibility study. We've done well over 100.

Design & Development

We will work with you and your design team to design a site plan for optimal efficiency, bearing in mind entrance stacking, exit stacking, visibility, building design, tunnel length, and more. Design, development, pre-construction and the construction process are huge undertakings. Costly mistakes are made with every new build. Mitigating those mistakes is paramount to ensuring proper timelines are met and change orders are minimal. Catching those mistakes earlier than later is always preferred. The majority of the time zoning isn't a homerun and requires a conditional use, special use, or re-zone. We've headed up this process with several municipalities all over the country. We know what planning, counsel, and neighbors' concerns are.

Site Financing, Zoning, & Permitting

Once you have chosen a site, we’ll help you devise a strong business plan. We provide a complete year one through year four volume/capture rates, per car average, operational costs, E.B.I.T.D.A., cash flow projections, break even analysis, and business valuation. With us in your corner a loan will be much more easily attainable and may require a much lower need for liquid capital. We then work with you and your design team, as your owner's representative with the municipality, guiding you step-by-step through the permitting process.

Signage Design & Branding

Crafting clear signage with sales-driven hierarchy and design is essential. We have years of experience in what works and what doesn’t. Most importantly, we know how to design signage that will up-sell. We’ll also oversee placement for signage including building, monument, informational, directional, and more. We also aid in the branding/logo design process as well as the design and layout of your website.

Construction Management

We aid you in the entire process from selecting the design team, general contractor, and subcontractors. Our responsibility matrix helps to ensure subcontractors complete their scope and everybody is aligned with what their scope of work is, from beginning to end. We’ll preside over pre-construction meetings, oversee construction, make crucial in-person visits, hold bi-weekly construction meetings, and oversee all electrical, plumbing, and other subcontractor work.

Create & Implement Marketing Plan

We provide consulting for the development of your core marketing program including branding and logo design development, menu design and configuration, menu package development, unlimited wash marketing plan, collateral design, fundraising program, gift card design and implementation, as well as basic electronic initiatives like social media, SEO, and pay-per-click ads. We've seen what works and doesn't work around most markets in the country. We’ll put it into motion.

Manager & Employee Recruitment

Our staff at Wash Guru is a diverse team having worked in many different industries. Being plugged into our industry, we have access to many experienced managers looking to make a change. We also like to look at good managers outside the industry and train them how to wash cars. We will write and place advertisements, field phone calls, set up appointments, manage the screening process, conduct interviews, aid in the selection and hiring process, conduct orientations, and write the training schedule. We know this process is daunting. We can help.

Equipment Install

After construction, we’ll oversee equipment installation and chemical start-up as well as camera system installation, set-up, and training. Our gurus will make sure your equipment is up, running, and ready for your soft opening. Plus, your employees will be trained and prepared for your first customers as we like to include the management/ownership team as part of the install crew.

Manager & Employee Training

We’ll start with custom written procedures clearly defining duties and objectives on: loading, bug removal, vacuum cleaning, tunnel cleaning, window cleaning, and more in a safe, speedy, and efficient manner. Our procedures will include a custom written staffing plan for different levels of volume depending on your concept.

Management will be taught and trained in all aspects of car wash management including recruiting and hiring personnel, training the trainer, coaching and development, leadership, how to deal with underperforming employees, how to handle complaints and damage claims, P&L and cost management, schedule writing, OSHA and safety training (lock out / tag out, hazcom, safety meetings, safety inspections).

A guru will follow up on site, judging adherence to systems and standards.

Certificate of Occupancy and Soft Opening

The municipality needs to grant a certificate of occupancy in order to open for business. We are with you every step of the way including providing punch lists geared toward that end. Before the grand opening, we’ll help with a soft launch by training personnel how to manage the day-to-day processes of the car wash. That training will include how to open and close, utilize POS functions, equipment preventive maintenance, daily reporting and accounting, daily communication, customer service and sales, and the efficient processing of cars. Along with the daily functions, we’ll train how to manage and adhere to labor costs, ticket averages, monthly membership goals, and schedule planning.

Grand Opening Planning & Execution

Our gurus will personally manage scheduling and placement of personnel, a “dress rehearsal” training with the entire staff, personnel breaks, customer flow and speed regulation, equipment functionality oversight, regulation of process and procedure adherence, and a lead-by-example training of managers for high volume.

Ongoing Operations & Sales Training

As your wash starts up, we continue with sales and customer service training. We’ll provide custom written procedures clearly defining duties, and a script detailing sales and service dialogue. We’ll follow up on site to judge adherence to systems, scripts, standards, ticket average, and membership base as well as hold managers accountable to ticket average and membership standards.

Our follow-up visits will review day-to-day management, daily equipment maintenance, daily accounting, daily reporting, and daily communication. We will also scrutinize management of process, procedure, labor cost, ticket average, membership sales, scheduling, and employee development.
